CDC Clarifies New COVID-19 Isolation Guidelines, but Does Not Add Testing Requirement

The CDC stopped short of requiring a COVID-19 testing requirement to leave isolation. Its updated guidelines leave testing at day five optional for people who are asymptomatic or fever-free. If they choose to test, and the results are positive, they should isolate for another five days, the CDC says.
